COMPOSITION
Steve graduated in 1980 and became a session musician, working mostly for the BBC. As well as working in studios he made many appearances on television with Lenny Henry, French & Saunders, Kirsty MacColl, Helen Lederer, and as the bass player for the pop band 'Red Box'. He also made regular appearances with the Latin Jazz band 'Cayenne' in Ronnie Scott's Club in London. Having moved from London, he now writes production music for five different companies, based both in the UK and the USA. His music can often be heard on British television, mostly on documentaries such as Horizon, Equinox, Watchdog, Crimewatch and QED as well as reality TV shows such as The Apprentice, Masterchef, Coast & Springwatch. In the States his music is used by programmes such as Sex in the City, Mad about You & The Oprah Winfrey show. His music has also been used on Eddie Murphy, Sandra Bullock and Kurt Russell films. Steve works from his recording studio in the North West Highlands of Scotland, but records his orchestral music in London. Steve has over a thousand published works and his music is currently used in over 100 countries worldwide. |
