Colonsay Cottage, Arrina
"This garden of about one third of an acre is in the small crofting village of Arrina on the Applecross coast road. It is set against a backdrop of Loch Torridon and its grey majestic mountains.
Eleven years ago it was a bracken covered hillside; now it is filled with trees shrubs, spring and summer flowers, alpines, fruit and colour at every turn." (a neighbour's assessment!)
We would be delighted to share it with you but beware the slopes and uneven paths!
Planting, propagation and artistic flair: Ruth Wood. Rock shifting, hole digging and path making: Bill.
Arrina is on the coast road between Sheildaig and Applecross. We are the last house at the far end of the tarmac road in the village and through the right hand gate.
Visitors are welcome. We will be rattling a Highland Hospice collection box.
