The Torridon Croft Yurt - Holiday let

The Torridon croft yurt is situated at the foot of the famous Torridon Mountain Range, directly below the Munro Liathach.

This brand new Yurt (summer '23) awaits the traveller who wishes to relax, get away from it all and stay on a local croft.

The Yurt itself is bright and airy. It is has no wifi, but there is a good mobile phone signal if you need to keep in touch.

There is a double bed, camping stove, compost toilet and a cosy wood burner. Water for drinking, washing and cooking is supplied along with hand towels.

We are dog friendly but please bring your own dog blanket or bed.

 

 

The croft can be found by Torridon Village half way between the Torridon Community Centre and the Torridon Stores. It's a 90 minute drive from Inverness.

The cost of the yurt is £80 per night. Visitors should arrive not before 3 p.m. on the day, and leave by 11 a.m. on the day of departure. There is no minimum stay.

We accept cash on arrival, or by bank transfer in advance.

There is on-road parking for one car next to the gate to the croft, as can be seen in the photo below.

Local facilities include: Shop/cafe; Community Centre with Gym, Restaurant and Art Gallery.

Toilets and Showers are available at the National Trust campsite 600 yards away.

Activities include: Lots of low level walks or climbing; fantastic views in every direction and day drives to all of Wester Ross, including Gairloch, Ullapool, Applecross, Plockton and even Skye.

A five-minute stroll to Am Ploc brings you to the ancient meeting place / outdoor church, which was used right up until the 1960's.
